Hudson River Valley Art Workshops

Since 1982, Hudson River Valley Art Workshops (HRVAW) has been welcoming artists and instructors from around the world to the historic Greenville Arms 1889 Inn to learn, create, and relax! At our facility you'll find an all inclusive setting of a 24-hour climate-controlled art studio, unique lodging, and on-site meals in the beautiful Hudson River Valley region of Upstate New York.

Our family-run arts center hosts 15 rooms with private baths and uniquely decorated guest rooms providing a feeling of home most other venues can't match. Workshops are hosted from March through December of each year and include everything from traditional painting techniques to mixed media abstract art to a wide range of fiber and art quilt options.

Our Status During The COVID-19 Pandemic

As of September 24, 2021

We are pleased to have found a way to continue hosting in-person workshops and have designed our COVID safety policy to do our best to ensure the safety of both our customers and community at large.

Determinations as to whether each workshop will proceed will continue to be made just prior to the 30-day mark as the situation is still ever changing. We are actively preparing for every safety consideration we can and altering operations based on current state and federal guidelines. Please know that we are doing our best to make this a special experience for you despite the changes from our pre-pandemic workshops.

Proof of full vaccination is required for all participants. Masks are required in all indoor public spaces. However, an anonymous poll will be facilitated on the first morning to determine if that requirement will be maintained in the studio. 100% of students and the instructor must agree for the mask requirement to be dropped in the studio. Of course your instructor and our staff are held to these same requirements. You can find more detailed information about our new COVID-19 Safety Policies and Procedures on our FAQ page.
