This workshop will be an intense three days of inspiration, hard work and productive learning to capture the magic of watercolor with Alvaro Castagnet.

Alvaro will begin with a philosophical introduction followed by a simple “one go” demonstration focusing on bold composition with an understanding of the four pillars. Through this demo, you will learn how to make quick decisions and simplify your subject to achieve the most impact. Discussions will cover color relationships, tonal range, forms & shapes and edges. After the demo, you will have free time to paint while Alvaro assists and critiques your works in progress. The second day of the workshop, Alvaro will put on a second demo and continue to guide participants through their own works in progress.

On the third day of the workshop, a final critique session will occur with every participant showing the best painting they have produced. The critique will be designed to ensure that participants return home not only feeling great with their achievement, but realizing how much they have learned, and with a clear understanding of the strength and weakness of their paintings.
