In this five-day workshop, Margaret will guide participants through working with both live models and photos. You’ll spend two days working directly from live models and on another day, you’ll have a photo session with live models to capture them in their environment. Those photos will be used as Margaret teaches you how to not make it look like you’re working from a photo. Finally on another day, you’ll tackle complicated cityscapes from photos as Margaret shows you how to simplify them.
Please plan to bring a number of travel photos to use, as Margaret will provide approval on which one to use. Margaret will also bring a number for you to choose from as well.
Over the course of the workshop Margaret will cover proportions, perspective, color theory and expressive application of pastels.
