Collage is an art form in and of itself, but it can also be a wonderful format for experimentation and growth. Its improvisational nature allows for chance and serendipity to intervene in the creative process thus taking you away from formulas and habits that can rob your work of surprise. In this three-day workshop you will make many small collages using painted paper, found images and printed papers made with simple indirect methods. The workshop atmosphere is relaxed and supportive with an emphasis on experimentation and play. Studio work will be supplemented by slide presentations and discussion.
