Ann Lindsay's paintings have won awards and been exhibited at the Salmagundi Club and Blue Mountain Gallery in New York as well as in many solo shows throughout the Northeast. Of her work, former Time-Life photographer, editor and art collector Tony Ruta said, "There is magic here, magic strength and courage." It is that place, that connection - and the sharing of that experience that inspires Ann's approach to teaching. "It's wonderful to experience that one-ness and then to express our response to it. It's a form of meditation - a form that is joyful, playful. And our lives are that much richer if we are able to 'speak' art, even if it is just playing with color or sketching a little in our journal, or taking a pocket paint set along on our holiday". Connecting with the winter world and expressing its beauty calls to many painters, yet the idea of painting out in the cold does not! Join Ann Lindsay, award-winning artist and author of Watercolor: A New Beginning: A Holistic Approach to Painting, for a week-end workshop packed with winter painting fun! We will head outdoors with our sketchbooks & cameras –film or digital-- to gather reference material which will be developed/printed and brought back to the studio. In an atmosphere of fun and exploration (and warmth) we will have a great week-end learning, painting and reveling in the beauty of winter.
