This will be a fast paced, fun workshop filled with possibilities. Transparent watercolor, gouache and acrylic along with collage will all be featured as we work from our traditional materials and subjects to a more experimental, intuitive approach. The focus will rotate between the role of Content, Design and Technique as we push toward work that is as meaningful for us as it is engaging for the viewer. Design strategies, color use, layering and incorporating symbolic, personal images and objects will be covered. Appropriate for all levels but instructor assumes you are comfortable with basic painting/collage materials.
