Joseph Bohler leads you through the process of painting landscapes, buildings, and figures in watercolor. He provides daily demonstrations in the morning and daily critiques at the end of the class day. You will learn brush control using large brushes on small studies of pines, bushes, snow, water, wind, reflections. Joseph also covers dry brush and wet-into-wet, using black, using red with greens, perspective, 3” figures for landscapes, and more. Individual attention is stressed. The class will be indoors most of the time, but if weather permits, you paint outside a day or two.
Joseph Bohler has been painting fine art for over thirty years. He has studied with such notables as Bob Lougheed and Richard Schmid. In June 1991, he was elected by his peers to membership in the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF WESTERN ART (NAWA) and won the Silver Medal for Watercolor in their 1992 show. He is a life member of the TRANSPARENT WATERCOLOR SOCIETY OF AMERICA, a founding member of the NORTHWEST RENDEZVOUS, signature member of the AMERICAN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY, WATERCOLOR USA HONOR SOCIETY, and the ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL WATER-MEDIA SOCIETY.
